Construction of New Barangay Covered Court Reaches 90% Completion

The construction of the new multi-purpose covered court has reached approximately 70% completion as of this week. The project, envisioned to become the center for sports, cultural gatherings, and evacuation needs, features an expanded playing area, elevated roofing, and reinforced structural elements to ensure long-term durability.

Kagawad Ernesto Valmoria, chair of the Committee on Infrastructure, reported that the construction is currently focused on installing steel trusses and preparing the flooring for concrete pouring. Despite intermittent rains over the past weeks, contractors have maintained progress by adjusting work schedules and implementing protective covers over sensitive materials.

Local residents, especially members of various sports clubs, expressed excitement about the upcoming facility. Once completed, the covered court will host regular basketball tournaments, wellness sessions, and barangay assemblies. A soft opening is tentatively planned for the next quarter, pending inspection and certification from municipal engineers.
